Park Matejki - ideal for a stroll

Matejki Park, situated at the junction of Matejki and Narutowicza Streets, was established in 1924. Though small, the park is popular with locals of Lodz. It is the only French-styled garden in Lodz. Its design was modelled on Versailles with a palace in the northern part of the park. However, the project was never completed. The park suffered seriously during World War II. Since then it has been renovated. Nowadays Matejki Park, listed as a registered historic monument, is an attractive site. It is famous for its neatly mowed lawns, rose gardens, circle- and pyramid shaped yew trees, a fountain, alleys and a playground for kids. Perfect for a stroll!
Opening hours:

The park is open from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m. (starting from October 1st to March 31st, the park closes at 8 p.m.)
